I enjoy most music... the only types of music I have trouble enjoying are hard rap music with angry lyrics, yodaling, and cooky blue grass...

I have dozens of books that I open over and over again... Art and Fear, Living a Creative Life, Making Your Dreams Real, and many others...

August Rush, as well as many, many others...

Although my gallery shows a wide range of my work through the years, my latest series has been about self-portraiture. Part of really digging into one-self is seeing all the emotions hidden underneith the surface. It had become a great exercise.

These portrait pieces have been arranged in various ways. Most ways were random. Others were planned out. This series really shows a stronger side of myself as an artist. The play of colors and facial expressions helped me grow.

After graduating Hight School in 2002, I went to Cazenovia College. From there, I recieved my Bachelor in Fine Art degree in 2006. Then I moved on to become Certified as a Mural Painter at Pennsylvania School of Art and Design.

Following college, I chose to start my own business. Currently I am doing business as Zorda Murals and Fine Art. It has been an adventure, to say the least! And I am very grateful for all that I have done so far. Day by day, I learn more...

Networking and growning is very important for all of us. Supporting each other can only help us learn more about our own art and ourselves.

Thanks for sharing your stories and your artwork. I enjoy meeting new people and look forward to supporting you in your adventures.

Keep going, one day at a time!

Sunsets, thunderstorms, hot summer days, family get togethers, friends and traveling adventures, a clean canvas and fresh art supplies, new sketchbooks, clean journal paper, and white walls waiting for a makeover... Gentlemen opening doors, smiles from people walking by, The view above the clouds on an airplane... Eating smores at a campfire in the summertime, sitting by the fire with hot cocoa in the winter, listening to the birds at day brake in the spring, raking and enjoying the colors of the leaves in the fall... pink roses... wild animals coming close and unafraid... horses running... a rainbow... many things...

Negative attitudes... smelly houses, air conditioners set below 60 degrees on a cool day... Snobby personalities and bitter, unhappy people with too many luxuries... bad manors...

Writing, reading, traveling, singing, crafts... computer networking, photography, organizing and redecoration homes... especially my own...

Yes I do a whole-cloth painting on the silk first then quilt the whole thing, so it's not pieced like a traditional quilt. And I HAVE thought about doing pet bird portraits, just haven't really advertized it yet. I guess great minds think alike! I would use a photo of the client's bird and create a lush, natural setting in which to paint the bird.

thank you so much for your kind words! i need to get going on the larger pieces, their all in my head but so much seems to be happening. i am stoked that the paintings are flyin' off your easel!! Keep on, it changes everything. before dailies, i'd paint commissions and try to get something going between them, but usually would stare out the window wondering what to paint. now there's no time for that. so happy to hear this. i both love and loath doing dailies because i'm so riddles with doubt, but as I read, doubt and fear are there to motivate not block if used correctly. i'm blabbering. have a great day and keep on! best, suz

GOOD MORNING I THINK THAT THE GOAL OF MOST ARTIST ARE TO PRODUCE WORK THAT WILL STAND THE TEST OF TIME AND MAYBE BRING JOY TO SOMEONE YEARS AFTER WE HAVE DEPARTED FROM THIS WORLD, ANYHOW THIS HOW I FEEL. I TRIED AT ONE TIME TO PAINT ONE PAINTING A DAY AND QUICKLY LOST THE RACE IT IS SOMETHING THAT A LOT OF FOLKS CAN DO BUT NOT I IT TAKES ME A WHILE TO WORK OUT MY PAINTINGS. I HAVE FOUR OF THEM GOING AT ONE TIME. AS FOR MY OLD PAINTINGS THEY ARE THINGS THAT I KEEP AROUND TO REMIND ME OF WHERE I CAME FROM. I WOULD NOT WANT THEM OUT THERE FOR ANYONE TO SEE. I WILL POST MORE WORK AS I FINISH THEM. THANK YOU AGAIN.

Hey--don't go changing anything based on something I said.  Your intent might be to make people "pop" a bit when moving through your gallery--that can be fun!  And that IS what life is all about ;o)

Hi Kirby! I posted some more parrots today, thought you might enjoy.

Good job starting the painting-a-day blog! Been planning on doing that too, but being a professional procrastinator.... soon....

I like 'Once Upon a Dream'. The curly-cues give it great movement. I use those in my work quite a bit too!
