It's all about Him - Doxology - some side items - Drawing during childhood mirrored my heavy interest in automobiles and aircraft. I studied drafting and while in school worked as a draftsman for the university. Though focused on avionics during my Air Force service, I frequently helped out on projects requiring presentation graphics. The same comment applies to my career in aerospace engineering.
My first serious fine art training was obtained under the teaching of Walfrido Garcia in the San Francisco Bay Area with whom I studied for three years in the nineteen eighties. The sea was our focus and it continues to be a central interest for me to this day. With the advent of digital photography and moving to the Sierras, sunsets have been a key involvement. Walking the family corgi “Joey” in the evening provides ample opportunity to shoot Sun and cloud.
During the early days of our space program, I was a payload engineer specializing in planetary reconnaissance. This activity awakened interest in the wonders of the Universe. When I see images from today’s space telescopes and planetary visitor/orbiter systems fuel is added to the fire of artistic endeavor and all of my mixed media art materials receive good exercise. In this area, I also rely on my computer and the power of filters to transform thought into works depicting the splendor in unimagined realms. The more I study all of these wonders, the more I appreciate Creation. Flora and fauna are additional wonders that present significant challenges to ones artistic skills. So many things to study, photograph, sculpt, and paint; so little time.

All of God's wonderful Creation. Space, Sea, Landscapes, Sunsets, Corgis, Science, The Arts, Mountains, skiing, cars, airplanes.

Negativism, TV broadcast news media and most of non documentary TV.

Thanks for the welcome home, and the encouragement, this is a big step, and it's going a lot slower than I want. And as I get older I'm not getting faster, but I'm sure haveing fun !

Thanks for visiting my site.  I have enjoyed looking at your work as  well.  The natrual elements are the most beautiful of creation.  I aspire to be able to paint the ocean as well as you've done.  But  right now the depth of study it takes for me to be happy with what I can do is beyond me right now

Thanks for visiting my page.  You're right, the verse is 1 Corinthians 5:17.  It is difficult to read because the file doesn't enlarge like the others.  Your work is very well done too.  I enjoy your sense of color and your seascapes are beautiful.  What are the sizes of the seascapes; they seem so real like they could fill the wall!

We have a cougar in the woods behind our house.  Our house is on the market and I mentioned it last night to a potential buyer before I realized that not everyone will find that a plus.  Oooops!   I like to paint the young wildlife.  I guess it comes from years of doing rehab for them.   me

Walt - Your comments were more helpful than you can imagine. I am grateful to hear of your choices in hardware for reproductions as I have been interested in reproducing some of my watercolors. I also have a sister who is an emerging photographer and I think that she would love to hear what you shared with me. Thanks - JK
