Acting as a sequel to a fictional short story I wrote in the Spring of 2001, this still-frame movie follows the denial, acceptance and depression of a woman who has lost her husband to gang violence.
As a matter of setting, the previous story followed the lives of a couple living on the South side of Chicago. Riddled with grief over losing their son to a drive-by shooting, the couple has been reduced to blame and hatred, both of each other and of themselves. They rarely speak to one another, and when they do, it borders on violence. To end the first part, the husband leaves the house to run to the grocery store. Gunshots ring out and the wife is left with a life-shattering knowledge.
While this video does not necessarily contain any graphic material, the subject matter is not for children.
