Thanks for the wonderful compliments. They made my day. In answer to your question, I had not heard that marker destroyed canvas. Im not sure if it matters or not but the markers are rarely applied directly to the canvas. I usually add the ink layer last, so there is usually layers of paint between that and the ink. I write about artists in a weekly newspaper column. Knowing them and their inspirations and obsessions and motivations and realizations has enlightened my life. I practice photography more than painting. Time prohibits both. I am also a full time teacher of gifted English, photography, and broadcasting students in a fine, fine high school. Mostly when I paint, I paint women's faces with hair that comes from the environment. I love the thoughts (and even screams) of your work, but again - especially Scream 2. It's like reading a whole novel.
