Hi,  Thanks so much for your kind compliments!  I have never worked in anything but watercolor, but I think a major difference would be mixing pigments since you don't have the luxury of totally changing a passage. 

Play around with combinations to find the greens you like or the grays or purples.  Do some abstract stuff on 5x7 paper laying down washes then letting them flow together.  Try mixing on your paper instead of the palette.  It's great fun to see the pigments do their thing and you will discover some beautiful combinations and jsome really hideous ones, too!
