I shoot with a Nikon D40X (10.2) 18-55 lens (for most landscapes) and a Nikkor 70-300mm VR lens for my wildlife. I find that the VR function is useless. I find that my photo's are out of focus most of the time when I use that feature. Anyone else with that problem? I find that this lens is rather difficult to use for wildlife, but if you get it lock on it's awsome!
I do my own printing. I use an Epson R220 for 8x and smaller. For my larger prints I use the Epson R1900. Epson ink's and paper's.
For me it's all about the creation/controll that I have with my work. At times I feel it's an obsession. (A costly obsession).
I do sell my work, my email address in dcbysam@yahoo.com for anyone who might be interested in purchasing a photo or two. I also sell cards as well.
I do want to thank everyone who has left me comments about my work. Its inspiring.
So thank you

My trip
DATE: 10/24/2008 21:19:19 / MOOD: full of life
I have recently come back from my trip to Seattle Washington. I have visited there many many times, it is my favorate place to be. While my friend and I were walking at Green Lake (our favorate place to walk) there was the Heron, just hanging out.
While driving out on Whidbey Island we spotted the hawk. That shot was luck and the fact that it was a bright sunny day helped.
The lighthouse is at Discovery Park, (another favorate place) I still have so much more exploring to do there.
Deception Pass (another favorate place) is a great place for the views and the trails through the forrest.
Golden Gardens (yes another favorate place) is awsome for its sunsets (if you can get there in time!)
