Great pieces you have here. I like "San Fransisco Bay". Gerry

Patina, Glad my critique comments were of any use to you at all.
Thank you for going on to visit my website and look at my work there.
Very kind words, which I appreciate.

Please give yourself time
to heal from losing your mother. When I did, it took me about three
years, but the process also released a lot of new energy in me to
follow my dreams and pursue art more actively. I hope it does the same
for you in the long run. Best wishes, Carol Lois/Aquabelle

Patina,

I am so sorry for the loss of your mom.  I cannot imagine how hard that must have been for you.  Maybe a way to pick up your brush again is to use your mom for inspiration.  She painted until the end, I imagine she would want you to do the same.  Maybe you can find some healing through your art as well.  I would also suggest some art books by Jack White.  They are truly incredible with guidance and really "sound" advice on many levels.  Go to www.senkarik.com and click on books, start with the 1st one The Mystery of Making It.  I hope this all helps.  If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. Best...

Hi Patina!  I love your 'cool hair' sketch, I think that its stunning.  I read that you are looking for a new direction - have you ever considered photography?  Or taking jewelry classes?  I love your work, and I can see your wood carvings as an inspiration for many different bodies of work.  I'm truely sorry to hear about your loss.
