Hi there Mujahid,

Your photos are so simplistic but beautifully represented in what you are trying to say.

"If one was to put all of his attention and actions on one’s art, and by that, neglect to feed the hungry, then that person has been misguided. He has to at least put some personal time into relieving, with whatever power he has, the real suffering of mankind"

Very true, It is very nice to meet you. I wish you well in life and in your mission.

Velia,
Your words indicate a deep insight into the power of art and its influence on the minds and hearts of mankind. I thank you so much for sharing it; perhaps Digitflorida, in his own way, was saying the same thing, and I thank him as well. Also, I will also take your suggestions to heart and look into __ if Allah wills that for me __ of other placements of my images. However, I still need to work with galleries, as well as the art street shows.
We as artist are aware that some art can persuade, sway and influence the thoughts and actions of the viewers; governments throughout history have always used us. And yes, you are right some arts forms have a healing on the sick and weary. However, the Prophets of Allah __ from Moses to Jesus to Muhammad, were not, in the traditional meaning of the word, artists, or perhaps it would be wiser to say, that their power to persuade, sway and influence the thoughts and actions of mankind was not by art, but rather by their power to implant in the minds and hearts of the Believers the real hope that what we do for each other, and how we may suffer for them, is known by Allah, and that He will reward us for those actions in the end.
If one was to put all of his attention and actions on one’s art, and by that, neglect to feed the hungry, then that person has been misguided. He has to at least put some personal time into relieving, with whatever power he has, the real suffering of mankind.

Mujahid,

Humanity. We are all teachers we are all students we are all born as artists. I understand your feelings in regard with the limitations of art as it applies to humanity. The arts remind us that we are human. Your work has a very spiritual nature ,seen through the eyes of a very spiritual man, whose eyes are guided by Allah. I feel that viewing your work can alleviate the suffering of humanity in its stillness. Do not underestimate the power , the gift that you have. The key is to place it on the right wall. Place it where it is needed most. Not in some Gallery motivated by money but perhaps in a hospital oncology unit. You have a gift, share it, give it a purpose.

I have been pondering over your words, the good intent behind them, and how best to respond.  I thought I would say this:
Allah has created us as keepers of each other, and that we must be concerned with and want the best for mankind. So, when we are exposed to the hunger, disease, sorrow, hopelessness, ignorance, greed, and poverty in the world, we must know that we are put here to worship Him, and to help to relieve the suffering of our fellow human beings. An image on the wall does very little to alleviate hunger . . . even when it is considered excellent work by some.
Please take this in the spirit of friendship and goodness.
Thank you,
Mujahid

You are a fortunate man. You seem to have found the reason  Allah put you here.

I love ALL of your work.  The simplicity and minimalistic approach is both attractive and deep, it allows me to add more and create a story.  Thank you for sharing!
