Elena: I am most intrigued by your bio. I can identify with many of the things you mention. I appreciate how your art is an introspection that shines light into the deepest elements of your soul. I appreciate how it is paramount to you that your art connects with each viewer. I, too, identify with all of these things.

Although I mentally think of how I feel about a flower before I photograph it, I do not write that down before I make my photograph as you do with your paintings. From this time on I will take the time to write the feelings and thoughts I have. In doing so, maybe that will add a greater dimension to my photography.

Thank you for your thoughts and insights as an accomplished and sensitive artist.

Day of the Dead is a big thing in Mexico, but I think is more cultural than religious. I am not religious at all. Talking about femenism, I have studied the feminist movement in Latin America that came with the Zapatista struggle in Chiapas. I also know a lot about child development. I have a theory...We women give birth and raise children most of the time. Machismo and lack of respect towards women is conditioning from early childhood. We women are the ones who are perpetuating a vicious cycle. I know that raising my children to respect women and treat them equally won't solve today's injustices, but it will have an impact in the future. How close are you to Dayton OH?

To answer your poll:  I have a web page that is "rented" from an on line company based in Boulder CO.  I pay them by the month or year, they secured me a domain name and I have full access to create my own site using their on line programs.  It is as easy to use as Scuttlebutt and I have access 24/7 to changes and updates.  They are professional, knowledgeable and a phone call away for any emergency.   me

Divas,angels and dancing is a very haunting piece....I like your expressiveness...your work brings to mind Edvard Munch for some reason.
