You make me blush...

Hi Karen, Thanks for your insights on "Don't Break This Spell". I'm glad you were able to connect to this piece on the level I was coming from. I had fun using a different color palette on this one. As I approached completion I found myself doing exactly what you described - getting lost in the eyes because of the jewels and not being able to look away. Some paintings seem to develop a life of their own...    -Don

Hello,

I briefly looked at your gallery:

* human figurative

* close up

* intense

* edgy

Like it.  A note about your profile page, though:  the orange type on the olive background fuzzies out for my eyes, making it hard for some eyes to read.  Also, there are some other color contrast things going on that make the headings hard to read or not readable at all.  I'm a stickler about readability -- nice to view your page, even so.

Hi Karen, thank you for your kind comments about my painting 'the fifth light'. The lines are pretty straight though I think the reason for the sharpness is the size of the original; 48"x30".  Thank you for making me a friend too.

Warmest Regards, David

Thanks Karen, I'm glad you like Moonchild. My girlfriend Anne-Marie in Kiss make-up, stretched until her head resembles an egg. Quite a romantic moment captured in that weird little painting. But speaking of pop icons, I saw you had a George Carlin portrait. That could only be him, with those eyes. He's a favorite of mine. A rarity in stand-up, and I miss him. But pleased to meet you, and I enjoyed looking at all your work. Hope to see much more.

Hi,

  Yes, Havertown is very close to Villanova and Center City.  Have you had your work shown at any gallery's around here?
