Well I'm still here in the Bayou.

 And I'm getting that old feeling again.  Forget "restless leg syndrome" I got Restless Soul Syndrome. 

I'm enjoying the peaceful state of mind that this place gives me.  That is the reason I came here, to gain some perspective.  When I walk out the front door of this old FEMA trailer I see the Gulf.  That's just plain awesome.  When it's not raining it's 70 degrees.

So we all can understand why the BF thinks I'm crazy, I want to go back to Ohio.  Yes the North Coast.  My house isn't as close to Lake Erie as the Gulf is to the trailer, but almost.  Yes it's 10 degrees and snowing in Cleveland, but I grew up there so I must be used to it, right?  

So what's got my wheels turning this time?  Well call me a stubborn Taurus but if I don't go back there and put some work in I'm gonna explode.

When Mom passed away end of 2005 my Dad, Brother and I all took off for separate parts of the country.  Bro went to FL to go to video game school.  Dad went to AZ to live and work on the Hopi Indian Rez.  I went to Reno to do conservation work in the Sierras. we were all trying to fill some holes.

So there's this big old farmhouse in the country-side of Ohio just getting moldy and being lonely.

Here's my plan, PLEASE tell me if I'm crazy!  I'm going back and overhauling that sucker.  My stuff is getting a fine-tooth combing.  My old bed-room is perfect for a sewing room/ guestroom.  Walls are getting painted, furniture is getting moved around, stuff is getting sold and donated.  Mom always wanted to make our house like a Better Homes and Gardens article, but how realistic is that with a busy family?  Pay-back Time!

I know the housing market sucks and there's a FOR SALE sign in every other yard.  Sometime though this house will be sold, or moved into and I want it to be welcoming and beautiful.

Once I do this I feel that I can truly "get on with my life" and "take care of business" and then LOOK OUT WORLD!

Whew that feels better.  Thanks for reading any opinions are welcome!

Hey Y'all!

Like I said, Blogging ain't my thang... BUT I read in the Illustrious Art Calander that it is VITAL to being an Internet Artsit, which is what I am aspiring  to be. Blog I shall... we'll see for how long.

Well my style is short and sweet, as you shall see SO.. let me give y'all the basics.

I'm rolling like a Gypsy right now in my Isuzu Trooper with my man and my cat Loki.  

We left Reno Mid November, all the forestry work kind of piddles out when there's 6 feet of snow on the ground.  We rolled on over to Tuba city AZ, Hopi Reservation, to see the Pops and some sites.  Then down to Grand Isle, LA.  Find New Orleans, move your finger down until you reach a sand bar in the Gulf and there I am. 

Right now I'm taking my quarter-life crisis to figure out what I'm trying to do and I have had a couple of good ideas.  This is my 2nd attempt at working for myself, I think I am a little more prepared this time.

My plans include going back up to OHIO (my home) but that is another blog, applying to assistantships, making my way back ACROSS the counrty to Reno, and kindling some awesome friendships.  OH YEAH I am gonna work my ass off too :)
