Hello

 I also teach art in a middle school and do the school counseling also(try to anyway)  It is hard to juggle everything but I find that if I try to do something at least every weekend it keeps me thinking about the direction of my art and I don't have to start all over again after a long layoff.  But have to do both and always have.  Good luck with your school year.

OMG, I soooo understand your "about me."  It is a teacher's struggle to share so much and still find time for your own expressions!

i understand the problem completely....a perfect balance between all is a fine line to walk...but it is possible.

i like the warmth your paintings.  good luck with your work....i teach art too.

i did elementary k-6 for 8 years....i have taught high school but am currently teaching the middle school kids for now.  4th year.
