Thanks for your comments on my work! Silk costs about $4 - $10/yard, depending on the type of silk.  Don't know how that compares with other media. The dyes are expensive initially but last a long time.

I like the complexity of your work - obviously a lot of thought and emotion goes into each piece!

Hi James

Thanks for visiting my page and your gracious comments on my work.  I appreciate it!

Your paintings are so powerful and inspiring.  I am particularly moved by "Morning Glory"....beyond awesome.

You asked if I could do Rhino's or other shapes in glass.  Yes, I can.  I must admit I've never done a Rhino, but that wouldn't stop me from trying.  If you have more questions, email me.

Thanks again ~~ Kathleen

James,  Thanks for taking the time to look at my stuff and comment.  I must confess that generally I do not relate to surrealism but only because it does not express me, not because I think it is bad art.  I think I understand it intellectually, but not emotionally.  Tell me more about it so I can learn.

Hi James thanks for your visit to see work which has now initiated my visit to see your yours...cool how we can get to peek into one another's studios this way. Your pieces are thoughtful and thought provoking and powerful in their messages. The money image is brilliant...naturally I couldn't tell what the small squares were until I took a closer look and then my brain said...of course...and wouldn't it be a different kinda world if we got the way that we are being seduced conttinuously by images of all kinds.

Ok James, i put up the two i was working on. I tried to salvage them but they still couldn't be fixed and I can't figure out a way to keep them from cracking, so i just posted them anyway and the next ones i will have to do without the plaster.
