You have captured the scene with all its saddness. It is a powerful painting.  The light is striking as if a ray of light will carry the soul to heaven.  I agree all of your works tell a story, some happy and some sad. You portray it with skill and artistry.

Thank you.  I have submitted Lament and others to quite a few publications.  They have all been "black holes" ... you send your stuff in and nothing ever comes out.  It's frustrating at times, but that's life.  This series has been shown a few times with another exhibit scheduled for April.  You can see more info on that on my web site, www.skiprohde.com.

All of your work is very well done.  I love your use of light to bring drama to your subjects.  Lament is a very powerful painting, have you submitted it to any magazines be they of the arts or political or patriotic in nature?  I don' tneed to wish you continued success - it will always be with you.
