I love this piece - it has so much depth and the teal bits really vibrate against the rust - it must look wonderful in sunlight!

My quilted parrots were actually done last year, they were my first serious foray into quilting (I do a whole painting first and then machine quilt it). Haven't done any quilting since then, only painting, which means it must be time to do another quilted series!

Yep, I make these cabochons from glass, which I put together and then fuse.  The center of this piece has a cluster of dichroic frit to add 'pop'.  Wire wrapped in sterling silver spiral wire.  Thanks for the positive feedback!

Wow...I love the blaze...striking!  I am totally untutored about jewelry...what is the material made out of...some kind of mineral rock?

Yes, I create the glass first, then add the wire wrap.  Opening the lid to my kiln is always a surprise and I enjoy this new dimension in my glass work.

So you create the glass for these luminous jewels? I'm doing multiple color pours right now trying to achieve that sort of depth and sense of inner vastness. Thanks for what you said about my work.

Keep going! It sounds like you have a lot on your plate but you know what feeds you!
