I have been sitting here for some time trying to put into words just why I like your work so much. I think I may be over-thinking it. Many fall somewhere between Realism and Decorative which is a hard line to walk - and you do it well. I think your paintings - this in particular - work as both very well and combine to create something more. Wonderful.

I agree with the other comments here.  This is something that I have not ever seen before.  What speaks to me the most is the balance of color, contrast, texture, and light.  Every aspect plays its part without overpowering the other.

How do you do the background? This is very cool.It almost looks like you painted over textured wallpaper- but I love the color combination and the way the petals stand out. Very nice to look at.

this is beautiful. i am so interested in how you did that...what is your medium? it almost looks like encaustic...? i like how the damask design looks (or is?) embossed.

wow I love the textures in this peice!  The flowers and colors in your work are beautiful.  Thanks for your comment on my work!  Yes all of my work is photography, the image you liked consists of 4 different photographs that i've pieced together and then added text into.  Im so glad you like it!
