I use a thickening medium in the first layer then I c over with color/ paint.  then the little flowers where a stencil I made and i used the thickening medium to fill the stencil and leave the impression.  the sun flower is alsoa stencil I made and the texture within the center of the stencil is actually the center of a real sunflower pressed into the thickening medium while it was wet leaving the impression
