This is a folding room screen. 6' x 6' painted, using acrylics and 5 different colors of real gold leaf, copper leaf and palladium applied to canvas with painted wooden skins on the back. Unfortunately, a photo never gives gold leaf its wonderful luminous qualities.  When looking at this screen from a distance, the viewer is drawn to it's depth and radiance. When viewed close up, one sees marvelous textures and minut details of depth that seem to pull the viewer in.  There is an amazing glow to the screen, because all the acrylic paint is mixed with metallic bronzing powders in order to enhance the luminesence of the leaf. The irony of this painting, is that it started out from a photo of a piece of moss that was 2" wide. Fun, huh?
