Thanks for visiting my page and leaving your comment! This piece puts me in mind of one of my favorite masters, Raphaelle Peale. His fruit pieces are very arresting, and this one is thought provoking in a similar way. You have caught an evocative mood, just by the placement of the fruit. Isn't it amazing how objects become actors on the stage of a still life? I like what you have done with the light, shadow, and reflections in this piece, and the quiet feel to it. I like that it is also slightly asymmetrical.
