Your foreground in this piece is excellent. Like the "Doom" piece, your treatment of grass with the light really works.

  I like this painting . I am struck by the dynamic use of dark values in the foreground below and the atmospherics. It pulls one into the painting .Then the warmer tones take over . The subject matter is very dear to my heart--as I paint "rural culture myself . The composition is excellent and the entire visual image is sound . Congrats !  I am new at this forum--so I hope you receive this message .
