Hi SkyArt, Yes indeed your work is improving. If you get the chance you might look into John Carlson's book on landscape painting. I've learned quite a lot from him and share his logict often with my students. He talks about the 4 value plains with the sky being the lightest, then darkening to the ground plain, then the slanted plains like rocks and mountains darkening still and lastly the vertical plains such as the trees being the darkest. This is more of a guide than a formula but it can work wonders for making the landscape work in paint.
