I love this!  My husband would too.  He has one just like it.  The cord not the painting and he ties it the same.

as strange as the set up is, this very good! The mass of wire, the shadows and light play perfectly with the dull background. It makes the orange cord POP!

This is the best proof of the idea you don't have to paint a commercial  subject to have a attractive and interesting piece of work. This one I would give as a gift to my husband surely!!!!

Richard, I just love this painting. At first glance of the thumbnail I thought it was rope. What a wonderful subject and such a fun cast shadow. Nice work. Is it oil?   Sonja

Like your work, I think this is my favorite is the electrical cord.  There are so many ideas I can get out of it.  Possibly the death penalty(electric, hanging like a noose, orange like prison clothing)anyway, its a great painting.  -    James Walker Henry
