This is an intaglio-type print made using ImagOn photopolymer film. The film positive was manipulated in photoshop with a filter. I usually avoid using these filters as they make art look like everybody elses. However, this time the cut out filter seemed to give me the results I was seeking. I used to be a screen printer and worked in a fashion very similar to this print. The film positive was then exposed to the photo sensitive copper plate and developed in washing soda for 10 minutes. The plate was then printed using chine-colle (a method of collaging colored Japanese made papers onto the print at the same time you print it.

If you are ever interested in trying this method of printmaking, please feel free to consult with me, as I can probably save you a lot of heartache and expense.
