this painting is disturbing to me.. I love big cities and hate skeletons! I took my daughter shopping yesterday and she seemed to like all those skeleton t shirts.. so I must be missing something.. but I have to say, your mask paintings have an aura that works on me no matter how much they make the hair on my arms stand up!

The background and all those lights.. is that what "ominous" means?

This is a very dark, spooky painting unlike your others, but I think it works well with the title and the idea you are trying to convey.  It makes me think about how someone's silence about issues not only affects their own daily life, but others' lives too.  Without the title, the painting seems a lot darker and not as conceptual, like you're only commenting on the evils of the city.  Excellent job with the glowing lights and reflections on the mask.

I really like this piece, its very intense. It makes me think of all the dark stories behind the glamour of big cities, all the stuff we don't like to think about (poverty, crime, drugs, etc) but that are part of daily life form a lot of people. Great piece!

this is different from your other pieces but i really like it.....it seems very fitting with the idea of what some people think about what happens in vega.

This painting features a leather skull mask from a photo sent to me by fearlessartist (thanks, Barbara). I've been working on a design for this title for quite some time. How do I create an ominous feel and symbolize millions of people... I think I may have worked it out. Let me know.    -Don
