This is a portrait of my pupper when she was young and full of mischief.  Chewing on everything in sight. Her eyes say much of the connection we have with animals.  Lots of love in her and it radiates to others.  As she got older and my mother had her stroke, she was a real gift to my mom and others who were in physical therapy.  My mother was and is paralized on her left side and it was this pupper who first nudged my mothers arm and hand to move.  My mother was startled by that, the P. therapists were amazed, and that started my mothers long and hard recovery.

I love the gentle strength  of the dog.  The Eyes draw  you into the
picture.  Like the way the left ear moves your eye clockwise around the
picture. The furs movement is nice also. Love the painting.
