I used to teach English and art back when I lived in Japan. My girlfriend's parents build this new house and I had lessons in there. The next door neighbors were not happy at all that the house was built, or that we were teaching. They were called the Morookas and their son was slightly ill. He would stand by their misted bathroom window screaming and shouting abuse as anyone came to the door. Just the click of the door opening made them shout "URUSEEI!" (NOISY!) and it was awful for the students..... and for the family living there. 

Looking back... I don't remember having any pity like I now do... for the sick neighbor Morooka.
