Hmm,loving the picture and how you seem to title your work just amazes me. I havent gotten to tha point yet...every now and again I might have an idea of OOHH yeah, but in the end..hardly ever works. So, keep it up and I like how you tell the story behind the art.

18" x 20" Mixed medium on color paper.
This was painted in about 1997. I was living just outside of the Yokohama stadium that now is used for some the major soccer tournaments in Asia. The stadium was still being made back then.

One night I was just so frustrated. Working so hard and getting no where. I felt unappreciated and unloved to be honest. I drove out to the unfinished freeway. A road still unused and threw my materials on the floor and began to paint. It was so invigorating and I remember feeling so alive, practically naked, drunk out of my mind. At one point I even stopped and drove into Yokohama to a 7-11 and picked up a hot dog. I came back and in rage-like expression, threw the ketchup on to the piece. I love this piece not for how it looks, but for what it means to me. An incredible moment in my life. The full title to this piece is "Drunken Turmoil, 5am in Yokohama, which doesn't add up to much."
