This is beautiful. I love the colors and the intensity of the composition. Thanks for the explanation. I don't own a bible and I would have wonder what Genesis 7:10 said. We have a lot in common, except I don't mind eating celery.

56" x 66" mixed medium on paper


 No mater how much faith Noah had that God would indeed flood the world, I picture him looking out at the world as the last turf of grass sinks into the sea, and even he must of thought.... Wow... this is really happening!"


"And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth."


 


This was painted in Augusta, Georgia when I belonged to a gallery called the Dunlap Gallery in downtown's Artist Row. Once a month or so we'd have to go down there and be there in case others wanted to come in and look around and the day this painting began it was my turn. I was completely broke at the time so it's painted on taped up paper for a reason. It's on my wall now.... so glad it wasn't done on canvas actually or it would have already been sold I expect.
