Check out SpaceElephant.com.  It is a brand new web site just for Artists.  You can set up a gallery and link to it all for free.  The site was just launched and we would love for you to be on the cutting edge of the endeavor.  Enjoy and good luck.

Hi Gail,  Amazing paintings.  I wish that someday i will be able to do art work like you can do.  I really love the 2 pieces of yours that were displayed when i first came online.  I also registered for this site.  Take care,  your neighbour Dave

I really like the new watercolors...very flowing and organic!  They make me want to sit by the ocean!

A Yupo ground is probably watercolor at it's very purist since none absorbs into the paper.  It's just watercolor doing its thing!  check out this piece by Bob Mcclelland.  He is a member of the Saint Louis Watercolor Society and works exclusively on Yupo.  http://stlws.org/images/bigsplash2005/mcclelland.jpg  The image is not very good because I photo these shows of ours after they are framed so it's hard to get good detail through the glare.

Hi,

Thanks for the recent visit/compliment!  Some of my paintings are oils and some are watercolors; If you want to know the medium of a specific one, just indicate which one & I'll let you know what it is.

Keep on creating,

Hi again.. its wonderful you can write haiku, I could not honor the art of haiku but rather know to stick to my paints! I did meet someone who wrote haiku for a group of my paintings; he would receive images of my paintings as they progressed then would write the haiku upon the completion of the paintings. It is not an easy task to capture the exact feeling in a moment in just a few words.

Here is a link where I feature his poetry with my paintings - http://www.fineartbyrobin.com/lotus/gallerypagelotustext.htm
