Hi, Thanks for the good words, Fairfield Porter is one of my favorte artist.  I also like your use of color and your paintings really capture Maine.

Hi Philip, thanks for the visit. Your description of my work -"Fun and Juicy" lol, I LOVE it!  Thank you. I enjoyed Howard Hodgkin's work. Definitely fun and Juicy as well.  I'll second that Welcome to Scuttlebutt. Love the smile and your work. Excellent colors and show of light and shadow. 

I have to ask. I've seen so many artists from Main. Is there something in the genes out there?

Don't worry about responding back- like most of us you are probably juggling many things at once.  It was go to hear from you.  I am stuggling to get some paintings done, marketing, work on portfolios, get an address list prepared, etc. while doing the family stuff.  Can't complain-just everyday things and life-  I hope you are painting and having a good day!
