Hello ellenhalloran!

You have very good realistic school of watercolor! Your works are created with excellent sense of composition of the canvas and big attention to details! My congratulations to you!

Have you heard of Nita Engle.  She is a successful painter in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and uses lots of water in her title of watercolor painting.  She published a book, " How to Make a Watercolor Paint Itself"...thought you might find her work interesting.

thank you for your comment, Ellen....I agree with you about dogs' ability to touch our hearts.  Very much so!

I love the description of your painting process;  are you using fluid acrylics?

Cheers, Susan

Ellen,

I was born and raised in Greenwich Village and love NYC.  The bakery I went to, Canapas on Sullivan Street, is long gone.  When I saw this one, it brought back great memories and I had to paint it [thought I am not the first to do so

Thanks for visiting my page and leaving a comment on one of my painting.  I like your work.  It has a very different feel from most of the paintings that I see.   I think partof that is the exotic location and part is the incorporationof so many abstract elements.  Keep it up.
