Hey!
DATE: 05/13/2008 15:49:33 / MOOD: in love
I want to apologize for not responding to anyone who contacted me. When I sit down to upload my daily painting, it's primetime and the web is snail slow. If anyone wants to chat, Fearless Artist, please e me at suzanne@suzanneberry.com. it takes eons for messages to load and response takes longer. I'm not being rude, just overwhelmed by pixels and megabytes. Today's daily is a pet portrait. Hey, why not, it's what I do. It went very quickly which was nice. It's gorgeous outside.

My Third Daily Painting
DATE: 05/05/2008 18:41:42 / MOOD: in love
I took the weekend off. I usually don't work on Monday's because my husband has 3 day weekends, but I'm determined to keep this up for at least one year. I have to help a friend at his reception tomorrow, so I won't be able to do a painting. Didn't want to miss 2 days in a row. I still like the first one better than the two I've done since, but that's ok. At least I'm working.

I'm amazed! I did another painting! Only two days in, but I think this might be just what I needed. I like the first one better, but at least I worked today! It's the two pears, just posted. I plan to post here as well to keep me honest and working.

My First Daily Painting
DATE: 05/01/2008 17:45:19 / MOOD: full of life
I just finished and uploaded my very first daily painting. I've never kept up with anything in my life, well one thing, actually two, but as far as creating, i have a hard time finishing anything unless it's commissioned. And so I'm doing the four month thing and then submitting to the daily painters movement. I'm stoked! Also, thank you everyone who commented for you gracious words about my work. I've been working in a vaccum and it's nice to get some feedback during the day.

Getting Started
DATE: 04/30/2008 16:26:49 / MOOD: other
I've just started a blog (not here) for the purpose of petitioning the Daily Painter's site for acceptance. One must paint daily for 4 months on their own blog before submitting. I started my first daily painting today. I chose a detailed photo I took last week, planning to impress. The lesson I learned? If you haven't done it before, take it slow. The smallest I've ever painted is 12x12", so 6x6" was an adventure. I gave up and will be trying less intricate objects tomorrow, say an apple.
Is there anyone out there who as tried this or does a daily painting or just wants to chat about being an artist?
