.“I paint what stirs my spirit and hope it is spiritually fulfilling to the viewer” I paint in oils with a palette knife to achieve the expressionistic effects I seek to achieve without losing the image. To achieve my colors, I compete a brush value underpainting in the opposite colors of my final painting and allow that to come through
