Artwanted.com

01/27/2008 21:37:06 / don't know

This isn't a blog.  I just want to ask if anyone here has a website on Artwanted.com.  I've had a website over there for a while a few years ago, but kind of lost track because it seemed to be predominately high school kids with great desire and potential, but nothing in that community was getting me anywhere.  (Not like this one, that's for sure!)

Anyway, I left my stuff up there because you can't beat the price (free) and went back today because, after 3 years,  I suddenly remembered I was still on the site.  (Hey, I'm 48 and in hormonal flux.  Gimme a break. )  They have a lot more bells and whistles on there, including Pay Pal accounts and little marketing gizmos that might be useful.  Can't beat the fee at $5 per month. Do any of you fine folks have a site on there, and if you do, what do you think of it?

I guess this was more of a blog than I thought.

Also, I am intrigued by your print making technique. But I can't indulge in tangents with a new medium for a while to come. Thanks for sharing.

Nope... but I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip. Nice work by the way... I did some egg tempera a while back. The transparency was fabulous. I mixed pigments with the egg yolk myself rather than buying the premade. Had a little trouble with the yellow ocher molding. Now I am on-task with acrylic and WC, and clay.

Are you going to do this year's project- the Vermont Fits thing?

I also want to add that posting my mosaics on flickr has not only been good for finding fellow moniacs who keep me motivated, but it's turned out to be a decent marketing tool. I've made several sales as a result of have my photos there.

I don't have anything on this (in fact, never heard of it), but am always interested in cheap sites to list work (hence raising the chances of a richie-rich patron discovering, falling love with, and cracking open his cash for my work. I just knoooowwwww it's gonna happen! ;-)
