Commissions

02/06/2008 14:01:45 / other

It's a slushy day today- I will retreat into a summer canvas- a commission for a Vermont home called Fox Ledge Farm. They've asked me to paint a fox on a ledge. It's nearly done.

Why is there always that hurdle about 2/3 of the way through a painting, especially a commission, where I just want to walk away from it? It takes great fortitude to walk back to the canvas and get back to work.

Keeping the end in sight... Having the confidence that I can get there. It's always a push. It's afun departure from what I'm doing now, to go back to painting a gorgeous furry creature in a landscape.
