I've begun a new series of experiments with surfaces with poured color. It's a bit of a departure because I have been  happy with realism for quite a while, but these poured colors are very exciting... there's a vibration and energy to the color.
Heart Nest II is sort of on the way to that. I sponged and poured the background and then painted the nest on top.
