Today was awesome day

Today was a terrific day! My husband and I took a train ride. There is a historic train that runs from Sunol to Niles, through Niles Canyon - in the East Bay area of California. It is completely run by volunteers and had a steam engine and everything. I'd never been on a real train before and today was the perfect day. We rode on a car that was open and the weather was 80+ degrees and beautiful. It just was perfect. I took some photos of the train (of course!) and was inspired to do a painting. It won't be a photo-realistic one, if you've seen my work, but it'll be "my way." I may do a real mixed media work, paint and "stuff" to depict my idea of the day and the train. My husband is a member of a Lego train club here in the Bay Area of CA and we have friends who are extremely knowledgable about trains so it'll be fun to tell them I rode a train. I love to get inspiration for paintings from some of the fun things we do.
