This blog is in regards to color and what colors artist like and use the most.  As an artist, if you look at my works, you should see that I try and balance my colors through out my paintings.  If I have blue in the lower right hand corner, I try and put some blue in the upper left hand corner.  This doesn't always work ,but that is my way of constructing my art.  As for my color that I use the most, I find I run out of yellow ochre the fastest (mixing it with others to get different tones.) My favorite color is red,but I have to be careful in the amount of red I use, powerful color. When I use to be a designer at a flower shop, I ws always told that I shouldn't combine red with yellow flowers (I personally think those go good together) What is your favorite color? What color or colors do you use the most? I would be interested to know!

As a water colorist , I find I go thru a lot of phthalo  blue and turquoise {due to my doing a lot of tropical scenes} and cadmium yellow as a mix for greens.  Also~~ strangely enough, Payne's gray. Maybe instead of color blind, I am "purple-blind". Red/Oranges vibrate so on a higher level for me.
