New television appearance

10/28/2007 19:00:27 / in love

Two entire days of putting together press releases, about my book.  After all writing a book titled, "Bringing to Life the Spirit of the Deceased–A Sculptor's Journey" is a good thing to tie in with this present season.

Sent them everywhere, even the big guys.  The optimized online release can be found here .  I had hoped for more press, but I'll take what I can get.  After all the book still has not been published.  Tuesday morning local news FOX.  I'll try to get a copy and post it!  Just spent the last hour getting more photographs together for the segment.  I have done this so many times I pretty much have this down to a science.  Just don't know about trying to get a digital copy of the segment.  Last time I was on tv, a VHS or beta was what I requested.  I just spent hundreds of dollars putting those into digital format to try and get up on my web. Sure would be nice to avoid the middle man!

By the way.  If anyone needs press clipping service I was surprised to find out how much they cost.   Parkernews.com seemed to have the best price.  90. compared to the local price of 165.00.

Apparently it pays to have taken the time to put together all of the photographs.  This evening there were at least 4 promo segments on the evening news for my sculpting segment that will appear in the morning.  Each showed different work.  they must have gone to my website and gotten more photographs.  It was strange to hear the audio, the first one said something about the science behind the art.  It is definitely a topic, but one that takes more than three minutes.  The second audio said, "Houston artist celebrates the deceased with her artwork, or something like that." I guess we will see what comes out in the morning.  7:45 am.  My they get up early! Guess I'll have to dig the clay out from under my nails, put clean jeans on and even put on some make up!
