Red, White OR Blue A Monochromatic* Exploration SIxth Street Gallery Show for July 1-27th, 2008 Just in time to celebrate Independence Day, Sixth Street Gallery presents "Red, White OR Blue", a juried Monochromatic show. This theme focuses on works of art created within one color scheme; in this case red, white or blue, and all hues, tints and shades within that one particular color. Such an exploration permits the deconstruction of one of our fundamental elements, allowing interpretation on a simpler, more basic level. All two- and three-dimensional media are welcome, as well as time-based art. *Monochromatic - Monochromatic color schemes are derived from a single base color, and extended using its shades and tints (that is, a color modified by the addition of black and white) .
