It's been since late January that I've work on a 30x44 in. wax pastel piece. Daniel Smith sent me the wrong wax pastel colors. I was supposed to receive Lemon Yellow, but they sent me this yellow medium cadinum,something, something. Bottom line...the color they sent was more of a orange range and I have to wait another three weeks for my Lemon Yellow to arrive by UPS.

But I have finally decided to get started on my new work without the stupid yellow! I've waited long enough(perhaps too long) and I'm going to let one missing color keep me from creating. It seems I've been in this situation so many times. Having to work with what I have in front of me, a statemnet that I remember from my grandfather, kind of rings in my head again. These are times where I feel I'm a little more creative and imaginative when I have to work with less materials.
