I actually paid attention to a lunar eclipse in November 2003, I painted how it made me feel, and it lead me to a year of painting the full moon every month, my "full moon series". Tonight I was unable to see the eclipse but the news images reminded me of this painting and I wanted to share it.

I was watching as the shadow crossed the face of the moon and it became golden brown. From: lcsmith 02/21/2008 00:03:42 I, too, missed the eclipse tonight...my daughter and her little family were in the process of leaving after a visit of a few days.  Their baby, my grandson, is only 9 months old and spending every moment I could with them was very precious.  I looked at your painting notated in your blog and it is beautiful!  It evokes a very dreamy feeling with a touch of "other worldlyness" to it.
