Hello!

04/30/2008 18:24:34 / full of life

I just wanted to say Hi to everyone and say I love the site. I also wanted everyone to know I've finaly posted some artwork! I love to get feedback and let it fly, I've got thick skin and have been drawing all my life. I've heard it all! How ggod I am and how shabby as well. I've been looked down upon from folks who see my comic style artwork as childish. Then on the other hand have been given killer kudos from others who enjoy the American comicbook genra. I have to admit outside of John Paul Ruebens and Norman Rockwell(and some pinup artist from the 40's to the 60's) my greatest influences are from the comic book world. The action the atention to detail, not to mention the vast amounts of work they produce in such short amounts of time. There are a select few of them like Alex Ross, Jim Lee, Joe Quesada, Dale Keown, and Brian Hitch. This is a short list of the extremely talented. Their artwork is not only detailed and spellbinding(to me anyway), but some of them work on several books at a time and get them out. I must admit I do aspire to get the detail, action, and life in my art like they do. To me these men are master story tellers. Without a word they have to get you in there, in the book. To me the story is secondary to the art. Anybody can work a type writer. Not to besmerge some great writers, but the art is the most important element. I invite you all to check out my stuff and bring you critiques. I'll never evolve or develop without honest opinions. Check out some of the guys I mentioned as well they all have myspace pages except Alex Ross but he has an online galery he uses to sel his artwork(he paints his pages). So agin hello all and enjoy viewing!
