I have just updated my blog www.nonakedwalls.blogspot.com
I am working on a new collagraph print with a musical theme and you can read info about the process and see a photograph of the first stage there. I am also doing another draw this month for one of my Kimono collagraph prints. It is a good sized print about 15 inches by 23 so if you want to be in for the draw read about how you can do that on the blog.
Today is beautiful here in Atlanta. I have had the door to the studio open while I took the photographs to post on the blog. Very pleasant!

Someone's won a CD

I had a draw on my blog for people who subscribed to get email updates and I have emailed the winner whose name was Barbara. I decided to do this each month just for the fun of it. The goodie for the month of July is one of my Kimono collagraph prints. I will have a picture of the one offered on my blog in a day or so.
Meantime I have tidied up my very messy studio and I'm ready to start a new something. The only trouble is i'm not sure what the something is going to be.
I redid a page on my website this week. The program I use is Homestead and recently they added a new way to display pictures, or in my case, art. The page shows cropped thumbnails which once clicked on come up larger and can be panned through. This has been on lots of website but not on Homestead until now. If you have a look, let me know what you think. Feedback from other artists is always great.

New Musical Painting
DATE: 06/27/2008 16:38:58 / MOOD: in love
I have been working on a new musical painting this week in between chores and cleaning up the house. Last week was pretty much a write off after I had to have a tooth out. The tooth was very unhappy about coming out and quite resistant to the whole idea so I ended up being quite sore for a couple of weeks.
The painting is called "Tempo in Blue" and is another of my musical paintings. You can see the picture and photos of the whole process on my blog www.nonakedwalls.blogspot.com

I finally finished my "Golden Sax" painting and I've put a picture up on my blog so you can see the finished piece. For those of you who haven't visited my main blog before, you may like to go back a couple of posts and see the pictures of the painting as it was taking shape.
Just for fun I have decided to give away a few freebies. If you sign up to receive email updates to my blog you can be in for the draw. Go to www.nonakedwalls.blogspot.com and you can read more about it there.

I have just updated my No Naked Walls blog. I started a new musical painting and thought it would be fun to show photos of it progressing. I have several pictures up already. I am using gold and bronze paints in this piece, something I would not usually like at all. You can check out my Golden Sax at; http://nonakedwalls.blogspot.com

Kimono Prints
DATE: 05/28/2008 13:05:32 / MOOD: happy
Over the past few years I have been enjoying printmaking. There is something very exciting about inking up a plate, running it through the press and then the excitement of looking to see how it has turned out. There is always a possibility of the unexpected happening. Happy serendipity or not so happy depending on the outcome. I have a series based on the KImono. I print each one up in a different way changing the colors so the they are all unique even if they have been printed from the same plate. I was printing one up yesterday and thought I would post one here. You can see others on my web site. They have been a very popular series for me and people seem to buy them in twos and threes. They don't photograph that well as the pressure of the press embosses the image into the paper and that doesn't show up in the photos.
I will post the image on my other blog as I find it easier to upload photos there. Do pay it a visit.
