Not sure if this is OK to ask, but here goes: How did you make the move to full time painter? Was it a gradual process or was it a quick move? Was it a smooth transition or bumpy? Having an engineering background I imagine you carefully weighed all your options, i.e. how it would affect those around you, how you would continue to provide for your family, etc. I think I understand about learning things now you should have learned a long time ago. I think I'm doing the same. Nevertheless, from viewing your work, it appears you have learned them extremely well. Be encouraged! You do great work!
Thank you so much for your comments on my blog! You really identified with me and understood. I really appreciate it! I'm very encouraged–thanks. Your work is amazing. I love the light, color and form. Keep up the good work!
Richard, I so appreciate your kind words and encouraging response to my "black hole" blog. I like your profile answers, and I feel a kindred spirit with anyone else who read "Tree of Smoke" -- what a ride THAT was! Were you in Vietnam by any chance (can't tell if you're old enough). Anyway, you should be proud of your painting, and thank you for your words. Jane
