Thanks for your compliments about my artwork.  I used house paint one time and, after disliking the application, did more research and came up with Liquitex.  This may be a naive question for someone who occasionally paints murals, but what are silicates?

I enjoyed looking through your gallery; very nice work.  What kind of paint do you use?  I've done some murals and am always looking for new things to try or ways to improve technique.
