Lucinda, The first time we crossed the border from Russia to Finland, we felt like we had excaped ! We took the train to Helsinki, it was a welcome break from Russia, even though it was the middle of December and the days were short and dark. But Helsinki was decorated for Christmas, and it was like a winter wonderland, even the snow was cleaner. If I may ask, what were you doing in the USSR during the cold war ?
Thank you for the welcome to the "fearless artists" and for visiting my page. To answer your question, most of the artworks in my gallery are watercolors. The close-up images of everyday objects are all watercolors; the pet portraits are graphite, and the murals are acrylic.
I think your technical skill and the way you capture the human spirit is amazing. It looks like you get spectacular results with the different mediums you try. I particularly like the way you use fading, composition, and adding background tone to enhance the portraits.
