Actually my yard doesn't look exactly like that anymore. All the grass is gone (the shade from the giant oaks have killed it off). I'm replacing it with groundcover - probably some kind of ivy or jasmine. This way I won't have to mow the back, just the front. All the rest is pretty much the same though.
Web sites are a lot of work. I bartered for mine. As for post cards and brochures, I am learning (present tense) photoshop, and each time I print a card it gets better and easier. I have been using an internet printer, since they are a third the price of the local printer, and will do 100 and up copies. I hate dealing with them but I can't afford the alternative, and the high minimums quantities. Let me know when you are ready to print something and i will share my mistakes and suggest a printer to hate.
Great you have a built-in web guy...I tried to visit your site, but it is a boat magazine...is that your business? Better get him weaving your dreams! It is easier to get art to an audience than a novel, eh?
My daughter is in a fashion design college in Boston, a junior. She has a knack for making patterns for 3D things, and somehow got some artistic influences from me and handwork skills from mom. She has visited FIT and considered it, but decided to get a broader liberal arts degree. I think she liked the idea of NYC better than the actual program there.
Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments. My media is photography with a lots of intervention. And I am using digital photography which is even worst.
Lisabeth, Thanks for watching my video. I'm very excited about it. I'm planning to post another soon. Technology is challenging for me but I figure it's good for my brain. Our puppies give us great joy and lots of laughter. I hope your husband is doing ok. I'm thinking of you. ALison
