Thanks for answering back about Cocoon.  It's a really interesting piece.

You mentioned I have an oriental asthetic.  I'm half asian but didn't realize it shows in my work!

Hi Leslie,

I am not aware of the site discouraging use of last names, but I know many artists choose to not reveal their names in order to control online information about themselves.  Many artist use this site for networking with other artists, and share details with thier peers that they may not want the general public to know.  For instance, if some artists are having an online discussion about sales, or clients, or anything else related to their business, they may not want that discussion displayed to potential clients or galleries in a google search of their name.

on the other hand, many artists have chosen to use this site as an online portfolio, and use their name or thier business name to boost internet presence of thier business.  It's an individual choice.

Hi Thanks for visiting my site-- and for your compliments! Batik is fun! (but a big mess and a lot of chemicals)

just so you know the tendonitis has healed, it took about 6 months but I am still afraid to push it- I think I will give it a year- I also have a piece of stone waiting.....  I have tried clay but it doesn't seem to excite me. I should maybe give it another try. I have also tried the wheel and find I don't have any skill at that either but again, maybe it needs to have another chance. Trouble is, finding the time-

what i would really like to try is wood sculpture... I love wood as I love stone!  someday......

I wanted to take the time to tell you how incredible I think your art is.  Composition ,use of space, fantastic.  And they just make me happy. Especially "within limits within"  I also answered your comment on my blog and was wondering where your art is sold?

Great to see your clay work.  It's very organic.  It makes me quite envious as I love working in clay however I am trying to limit myself to a couple of mediums and try and do at least one well.
