Thank you very much for your comment on my work. When I start a painting I never have a preconceived notion as to what it will become. I just start and what is to be will be. I enjoy painting what I feel at the time. I think your work is amazing. Your details and lines would make most envious. Thanks again for stopping by my gallery. Hope all is well and happy creating.

Take care,

Jason

Thank you for the encouragement.  I like the way you combine your sayings with images.  Best to you.

I LOVE linoleum blocks! I've used both the hard and children's soft. I have two ready to print, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I LOVE the cutting. It's so relaxing to me. Did you have the design planned, or did you just go into it with an idea?

Hi, Lea,
That June 8 date has come and gone, when I said I'd be more available. It turned out that 4 more books were offered to me, 2 of which were rush jobs, and 1 of the latter I had to turn down because I only had so  much time during that 2-week period.

I just started one new book yesterday, not a rush. And another one is coming next week. But I do have a moment to breathe. Anyway, you mentioned wanting to ask me some questions about copyediting?

Maybe by now you've glimpsed the disadvantages of freelancing: a feast or famine workflow, once you have regular editors who send you books.

But your bio says you've been making a living as an artist, so is your interest in editing mere curiosity? Or did you want to dabble in it yourself, because of the bad economy?

 I hope you're well.

Patti

http://www.manhattanarts.com Did you submit works to this juried show? No, I didn't enter it, didn't know about it. Is your piece on scratch board? Looks like a great show.
